Fanny Soyer

Soprano

Fanny takes part in the Young Artist Program at the Royal Danish Theater for the seasons 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

In 2020-2021, she is a scholarship holder of the Lied Akademie of the Heidelberger Frühlings Akademie music festival under the artistic direction of Thomas Hampson.

Since 2015, the soprano is a member of the “Quatuor Bonelli”, a vocal ensemble she co-founded.


The french soprano has a very strong interest in different repertoires and genres.

Fanny Soyer was born in Paris in 1994. She begins with playing the piano at the age of 4. She starts to sing at the “Maîtrise de Paris” with the conductor Patrick Marco, who gives her the will and interest to continue.

After four years of studies in Paris, at the “Département pour jeunes chanteurs de Paris” with Melanie Jackson, Fanny starts in September 2016 at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin in the class of Professor Christine Schäfer.

There, she works with Wolfram Rieger, Thomas Quasthoff, Alexander Fleischer, Julia Varady, Andrea Baiocchi, Eric Schneider.

In July 2019, she receives her Bachelor degree with the highest honors.

In 2019/2020, Fanny studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music as part of her Erasmus studies in Copenhagen and meets Helene Gjerris, her singing teacher.

The year after, Fanny begins at the Opera Academy (Operaakademiet), a Master program at the Royal Theater and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

After her graduation in June 2022, she is offered a position within the Young Artist Program at the Royal Danish Theater and enters the class of Reinaldo Macias.
